Though initially I thought of taking a break.. I realise I have 7 cards due… and I have yet to start on any of them.. still… hahaha… ohwell, I work fast under pressure.. Firstly, I probably need to work on my photo taking skills.. and I was on the floor, with minimal space to work but tons of tools around.. I cant wait till I get my own crafting space…

I was super tempted to buy the Milk carton die.. I saw that Stampin Up have a tiny one but all in all cost to me plus shipping would be close to $50-60? So I decided to haul out the scoreboard and try making my own from templates that I read up on online. First two was cut too short but the third one came out nicely.. The only difficulty I had was in scoring the diagonal lines to make the spout. But saving that $50 is well worth it..

I stamped the card with a Hero Art’s background cloud that I bought some time back. Another note to self is to get all the arty stuff done prior to scoring the card. The faint score lines make the surface uneven and the middle of the cloud stamp didnt imprint well despite me pressing it down hard. I used MFT’s wonky scallop die for the borders. The lil birdie was from Stampedous. So cute… haha.. stamped with my fav Versafine and colored with coloring pencil. My Copics have yet to arrive!
Punched a hole with EK Success’s scallop punch.. think this is 1.5”? And yes.. I punched the hole at the wrong side! haha.. this look more like a bird house feel vs a millk carton… haha but one shall not waste and still give ths away.. Initially I wanted to cut using the Martha Steward circle cutter.. but… after punching the blade through the paper… it wont turn?? Like huh.. I have to investigate another day…

The egg stamp was a gift from Cow. Thanks! I used different ink pads I have in store. Used some chalk ones, ink ones, pigment ones. There are a few eggs at the other side of the carton. :) I had to use a tiny wooden clip to secure the top. Initially I had used my dot tape runner on the lids so that it is still removable.. but it keep springing open on me..

Made two more for my colleagues..their background was some flower print from Hero Arts again. Stamped with Versafine Crimson red ink and colored across with diluted Victorian Velvet Distressed Ink. Am happy that the Versafine withstood the Distressed Ink being layered on top. I havent put the plastic thingy to cover the hole.. haha but yes… ta dah! Easter eggs milk carton..
